A Ghoulish Debut

When 15-year-old Chloe first came to Salem from the orphanage and moved in with mom Nancy, the local teens threw up some balloons and celebrated her arrival. Ha, no. Pretty much everyone but Belle and Shawn (then Jason Cook) called the new goth chick Ghoul Girl and left dead chickens on her doorstep. Those little scamps.

After Nancy got hit by a truck, Chloe sang her awake from a coma. (Yes, we mean that literally.) If only that hadn’t been after Chloe watched her mom get intimately acquainted with said truck and still run off with the money she stole. At least her guilt got the better of her. Eventually.

Ghoul Girl lasted until the Last Blast dance when Chloe started experimenting with — brace yourselves — color. Her fellow students agreed that she looked ravishing in red, so they tried adding a bucket of chicken blood to her outfit. Because that’s never gone wrong. In the end, Philip took the bloodbath meant for Chloe, and true love blossomed between them. Until she and Brady started making googly eyes.
Who’s Your Daddy?

Chloe’s leukemia diagnosis resulted in a search for a father that ended with the shocker that it was none other Nancy’s husband, Craig! With whom Chloe had been living since she moved to town. And with whom Nancy had apparently already slept when she got pregnant with Chloe back in high school. And… OK, this is getting less and less surprising.

After shaking her cancer, Chloe moved away to use her singing power for something more than coma victims. But we guess she really got into the drama of performing while she was gone, because when a horribly disfiguring car accident sent her back to Salem, she went all Phantom of the Opera with Brady (then Kyle Lowder).
Happily Never After

Chloe and Brady soon married, and just to make sure her wedding had that extra drama, she waited until the big day to reveal her perfectly reconstructed face. Then the two ran off into the sunset, to live a life of eternal bliss! Wait, they split up off screen? Never mind.

Chloe returned to Salem to jump from Brady to Philip to Lucas, but the thought of being a mother sent her screaming (singing?) for the hills of the Kansas City Opera. Eventually, though, she figured “What the hell?” and came back (again) for a life in the woods with Lucas and Allie.

Eventually the stepmom thing got boring, and Chloe turned to Daniel — who was dating Lucas’ mom, Kate. Kate found out, took the whole thing in stride, and dealt with it calmly and maturely… is something that would never happen. She poisoned the hell out of Chloe, framed Daniel for attempted murder and laughed while their lives burned down.

Poisoning didn’t slow Chloe and her beau down, but Daniel’s daughter, Melanie, did. The new family addition sent Chloe spiraling, so she dealt with it by hopping into bed with Philip. Without protection. We guess she and Nancy never had “the talk.” The resulting baby got passed off as Daniel’s until Caroline admitted she had switched the paternity-test results. Whoops.

Chloe’s new fella, Quinn, turned out to be an enterprising small-businessman hired by Kate to ruin Chloe’s life. He pulled a reverse Pretty Woman and blackmailed her into prostitution. Though horrified at first, Chloe kept at it even after Quinn backed off. After all, a paycheck is a paycheck. Get it, girl.
Who’s the Daddy, Part… Something

When there was a prostitute serial killer on the loose in Salem — that is, a serial killer of prostitutes, not a prostitute who was also a serial killer — Chloe ran off again, only to return to tell Daniel that he really was Parker’s father! The paternity test had been… double switched? Fine, why not? Good for Daniel.

Chloe learned that hard way that all the crazy eyes in the world wouldn’t split Jennifer and Daniel up. Threatening to keep Parker away from him, though, would. But eventually the clock struck midnight, and it was time for Chloe to leave Salem before she turned into a pumpkin. Or whatever her reason was that time.

For Chloe’s next return, she got knocked up with Nicole and (the now-dead) Daniel’s baby through the magic of IVF, then won custody of the kid in court. But she handed the tot back to her real mom after Nicole proved she’d be a great parent by attacking Chloe and kidnapping the infant. It’s a low bar in Salem.

Next stop: New York! But obviously that place is a snoozefest, so Chloe returned to Salem to get mixed back up with Brady and kidnapped by a jealous Kristen. Her high school bully, Jan Spears, did “save” her, but she also seemed to think Chloe should kill Claire as a thank-you. Sure, Jan.

Chloe, for a time got right back to her roots as Philip and Brady fought over her. Clearly, she was thrilled. Especially when Philip faked his own death to frame Brady. Luckily, Brady was cleared, but they still don’t know what really happened to Philip!
Wedding Disaster

Chloe’s parents returned to town only to split up as Craig realized he was gay — and in love with Leo?! Chloe and Brady worked to bring that bonkers double wedding (Xander and Gwen also failed to walk down the aisle) to a screeching halt and in the process fell in love all over again!
One Big (Un)Happy Family

Chloe and Brady had it all. Dating, working together co-parenting Rachel… Actually, that last part wasn’t going too well seeing as how Kristen was doing a killer job of making sure little Rachel blamed Chloe for mommy and daddy not being together and hated her with the fiery passion. But that wasn’t insurmountable, right?

OK, turns out that Rachel business may have been insurmountable. Thanks to literally holding Marlena, Kate and Kayla’s life in her hands, Kristen managed to split Chloe and Brady, move in with her ex and build a whole, dysfunctional family with their daughter. Sorry, Chloe!

Well, Brady’s loss is Stefan’s gain! The DiMera’s back from the dead and wooing the pants off of Chloe! Granted, that’s only because Kristen and Li had Dr. Rolf brainwash him into hating Gabi and falling back in love with Chloe, but we’re sure that will all work itself out without drama…
