Days of our Lives has been bringing a slew of characters back to Salem. Why can’t these 10 follow suit?
EJ DiMera hasn’t been seen since 2014. Well, his burned and bandaged body recently turned up alive but his face was never seen and Sami quickly whisked him away to recuperate. With Alison Sweeney sticking around Salem as Sami for an extended period of time it seems like the ideal time to bring back this charming, devious, popular character. Even if James Scott isn’t available and they have to recast.
Hope’s not even gone yet but we already want her back. She just returned to the police force, reunited with Rafe, and has been fierce in her attempts to find her daughter Ciara. Hope’s portrayer Kristian Alfonso has said her exit won’t be reversed, as so many of her co-stars’ departures have been, but Hope can always be recast with another actress.
Lisa Rinna, Krista Allen, Julie Pinson, someone new. Whoever it is, just bring Billie back to Salem. With Hope leaving, there’ll be a spot open in the Salem PD and Rafe will be lonely when he returns. Besides, Kate could probably use her daughter back in Salem. Seven years is a long enough absence. Time to come home, Billie Reed.
Bo Brady is an iconic soap opera character. The ultimate bad boy with a heart of gold. Half of an 80’s super couple. Sure his other half, Hope, is leaving the show, and the audience watched him die, but that doesn’t mean he can’t return. He’s Bo Brady. A little thing like death can’t stop him. Especially since he’s from Salem.
She’s part of the legacy Brady family and is the mother to Brady’s son, Tate. Those are reasons enough to bring her back, but her knack for constantly getting in trouble makes her entertaining as well.
If Theresa comes back, Anne definitely needs to return. The partners in crime could definitely shake things up in Salem, especially if Anne still has it out for Jennifer.
Dying from a brain tumor is an easy obstacle to overcome on Days of our Lives, especially when Dr. Rolf is always hanging around. Lexie needs to return to her husband Abe, who could certainly use a storyline. Not to mention, Kayla can’t heal everyone in Salem all by herself. Maybe the good doctor could bring her son Theo home with her.
Can’t the DiMeras always use a good henchman? Especially one as entertaining as Bart? Again, he’s dead, but he used to be tight with Dr. Rolf, who we have to imagine can reverse that fatal stab wound with his eyes closed.
Maxine was often the voice of reason in Salem. Not only was she wise but she was often in everyone’s business so she knew what she was talking about. Her tough love and reassuring presence in Salem are sorely missed.
Brady just rushed to his comatose father’s bedside, shouldn’t John’s other son do the same? Just think of all the drama that could go down considering Brady is still in love with Kristen, who shot Paul in the back, thereby paralyzing him. Besides, Paul could bring back that hot therapist who whisked him off to rehab in San Francisco.
