Ridge (then Ronn Moss) considered Bill Spencer Sr.’s daughter, Caroline, the love of his life. She clearly was not. He two-timed her with model Alex Simpson, and when his betrayal was exposed, he moved on in a heartbeat with Brooke. He would always move on with Brooke. For him, no matter how long and winding, all roads lead to Brooke. Are you listening, Shauna? Reason No. 10 is… Brooke.
9. Brooke Is Also Ridge’s Go-Back-To

After Ridge married his late wife’s doctor, Taylor — and totally not just to safeguard his dad’s marriage to Brooke — he… oh, right. He ran right back to Brooke the second that Taylor was declared dead in a plane crash. Like that was more believable than her becoming an amnesiac snake-dancing for a Moroccan prince! But we digress. Left to his own devices, Ridge gravitated toward Brooke once again. Are you sensing a pattern here, Shauna? Because reason No. 9 that you’re gonna lose Ridge is… also Brooke.
8. Brooke Is Only Ever Ridge’s ‘Ex’ in Quote Marks

Getting an eyeful of Brooke getting a lipful of Grant inspired Ridge to re-propose to Taylor. It was all so much silliness. Every moment of every day, he was just making his way back to Brooke, whether he had to take the fall for stepson Rick shooting Grant or not. Do you really think you can fight that kind of pull, Shauna? Taylor once did — and look where it got her!
7. Brooke Finds Ridge Irresistible — and He Loves It!

Ridge’s old flame, Morgan, faked her way into nookie with him, in hopes of replacing the child that woulda-been mother-in-law Stephanie had forced her to abort. This did not prompt him to sing, “Baby, come back.” He stood by then-wife Taylor only until kid brother Thorne took up with Brooke. Then… oh, who are we kidding? You know what happened then! Ridge reminded Brooke that he was her destiny. Her kissy-kissy destiny. You’re not going to change their kissy-kissy destiny, Shauna. No one is.
6. Brooke Has a Staying Power Other Women Don’t

Yes, Ridge flirted with Brooke’s sister, Donna. That’s kind of his jam. He flirts with everyone. He even flirted with Bridget for a while, and she used to be his daughter (or so they all thought). He flirts with his morning coffee, for Juan Valdez’s sake. But do these brief infatuations amount to anything? No. They never do. Are you paying attention, Shauna? Only one relationship ever sticks — his and Brooke’s. It comes apart sometimes, but it’s like Velcro — easy to stick back together.
5. When Ridge Rebounds, It’s in Brooke’s Direction

Even leading ladies from other soaps — in this case, The Young and the Restless’ Ashley — have tried to stake a claim to Ridge. And did it work? Ha! Ashley’s hold on fiancé Ridge only lasted about as long as a whiff of Jabot perfume does after its wearer leaves the room! Then he sauntered right back into the arms of — all together now — Brooke! Even Shauna should’ve been able to fill in that blank correctly.
4. Brooke Has the Edge, Always

Girl, where is your pride? Ridge’s on-again/off-again wife, Taylor, got it on with him while he was hopped up on anti-anxiety pills (which, thank you very much, she’d supplied). But did it lead to a lasting reunion? What do you think? No. No. Not a snowball’s chance in hell! Mind you, if Brooke had pulled the same stunt, it no doubt would’ve resulted in a remarriage that lasted, well, at least months. (Ridge and Brooke do like to break up occasionally, if only because they adore reuniting and saying “I do” so much.)
3. Ridge Just Can’t Let Brooke Go

OK, we actually thought that Ridge (by then Thorsten Kaye) might be all in where Brooke’s other sister, Katie, was concerned. But no sooner had he tied a string on her finger — don’t ask! — than he’d flown off to stop Brooke from marrying his fianceé’s ex, Bill Jr. So we suppose that means he was just… partly in. Regardless, a commitment to one woman does nothing to diminish his attraction to The One.
2. Brooke’s a Flame, Ridge a Moth

Ridge went so far as to marry his late wife’s niece, Caroline the Second. But the union amounted to nothing. He threw her over as quickly as he’d picked her up and then made it his mission to reunite with Brooke. Let us break it down for you this way, Shauna. You know the way gym rats have arm days and leg days? Ridge has Brooke days and slightly-less Brooke days. But in the end, they’re all really Brooke days.
1. Women Other Than Brooke Are Mere Distractions

Ridge and pop Eric have long had the same taste in women, so it was hardly a shock when “the dressmaker” locked lips with his latest stepmother, Quinn. But did it dissuade him from his true one and only, Brooke? Not for long, no. Nothing does — a lesson Shauna’s about to learn the hard way and about which her bestie really should’ve given her a heads-up!
