Spoiler alert: When Soaps.com runs its list of our readers’ most loathed characters on The Bold and the Beautiful, Eric’s missus is a hit. But, interestingly, Rena Sofer’s conniving alter ego also has a good number of fans in her corner. As Teresa Howell Hosford put it, “Even though Quinn is evil, she has a charm to her. She’s like the new-and-improved Sheila Carter.” Now that’s a compliment we’d want to have needlepointed onto a pillow!
4. Liam, Katie and Eric

Weirdly, these three got basically the same number of votes as Quinn. But even her detractors would have to agree that she’s in a league of her own. So let’s call No. 4 the ranking for the good guys, those characters who try to do the right thing… no matter how often they get it wrong. If nothing else, they’re nowhere near as polarizing as the occupants of the No. 3 slot.
3. Brooke and Ridge

If you think the on-again/off-again supercouple’s showing on this most-loved list is impressive, wait until you see how high they rank on the most-loathed countdown. Mind you, any way you slice it, a strong response from the audience is a good thing. Whether Katherine Kelly Lang and Thorsten Kaye’s alter egos are adored or abhorred, they get a reaction!
2. Dollar Bill

Don Diamont’s character is money in the bank for The Bold and the Beautiful. And why wouldn’t he be? “Neigh”-sayers be damned, the so-called Stallion is the a modern-day J.R. Ewing, a hilarious cad with a heart (if you look hard enough and, um, squint) and even less willpower around a sexy woman than we have around a Twinkie or a glass of wine.
1. Steffy

Overwhelmingly, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s alter ego was the most popular current character on The Bold and the Beautiful. Although now and again, Soaps.com readers were rather specific about the terms of their appreciation of the late, great Stephanie’s namesake. For instance, Adrian N Joni Cruz wrote, “When Steffy isn’t desperately [fawning] over Liam, she’s my favorite.” Oddly, it’s when Steffy is mooning over Liam that she’s his favorite.
