Katie turned to the bottle after her husband, Bill, and her sister, Brooke, were having trouble fighting their attraction to one another. A mistrustful Katie began stashing her old friend Johnnie Walker in the kitchen cupboards until she was finally confronted.

After their daughter, Phoebe, was killed, Taylor began prescribing pills to Ridge for stress, but he began overdosing without her knowledge. Some might argue Ridge has issues with alcohol in the present day considering he’s been blackout drunk with Shauna on two occasions…one at which he married her in Vegas.
Hope Logan

Hope became addicted to anti-anxiety meds after the press began labeling her as an adulteress for reuniting with Liam who was still married to Steffy. Amber began supplying Hope with pills off the Internet, and Hope nearly drowned in the pool and crashed into Steffy on the ski slopes before getting clean.
Brooke Logan and Deacon Sharpe

Brooke Logan began having cases of vodka delivered to the house in order to drink herself into a stupor after Bill reunited with Katie. She ended up attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings with none other than Deacon Sharpe, her ex-lover and father of her daughter Hope. Sharpe has battled alcoholism on both The Bold and the Beautiful and The Young and the Restless.
Taylor Hayes

Dr. Taylor Hayes turned to alcohol during the days she was caught in a love triangle with Brooke and Nick Marone. While driving inebriated, Taylor hit and killed Darla, who was at the side of the road in the fog. She ended up behind bars for vehicular manslaughter.
