Our story starts somewhere in the Mediterranean, where a black-clad scuba diver emerges and says that he was not able to find what he was looking for. Learning from the men whose boat he chartered that a woman named “Brady” might have gotten there first, the man pulls out a gun and shoots them dead!
In Montreal, Ben and Ciara arrive on their boat, Living In Cin. Hope arrives and is thrilled to meet her grandson, Bo, for the first time.
What To Watch
In Heaven, Bo happily watches as his family is reunited. It’s clear he is still very much in love with his beloved Fancy Face.
Gimme The Remote!
Bo’s viewing is interrupted by Angela, another heavenly resident. She says his viewing privileges have been taken away because of his recent actions. He defends having brought Tripp back to life, but Angela refuses to listen.
Answers, At Last
Ciara confronts Hope, demanding to know where she’s been all this time. Things are tense, but Hope eventually says that with everything that was going on back in Salem, she needed time to find herself.
In Seattle, Tripp — who is staying with half siblings Joey and Stephanie — is surprised to open the door and find Kayla and Steve on the other side, having swung by for a surprise visit.
Happily reunited for the first time in ages, Steve gathers the family for a group selfie. Later, Joey leads the gang on a tour of Seattle which includes some of his favorite off-the-beaten-path (and kind of bizarre) locations.
Party On, John!
John, too, has left Salem, and we find him in San Francisco helping son Paul host a gay pride party. Later, while cleaning up, John says he could not love his son more if he tried. Sadly, Paul admits that he’s currently single.
The mystery man we last saw in the Mediterranean shows up, this time dressed as a cop named Officer Michaels. He says there was a noise complaint and asks John to accompany him to the station. Suspicious, John refuses, at which point Michaels tasers John. The faux cop and Paul have a massive fight which ends with Michaels bashing John’s son over the head with a keg. When Paul awakens, his father is missing!
An Unexpected Delivery
Harris next shows up in Seattle, where he delivers the pizzas that the Johnson clan ordered. One, however, contains an explosive device. When the literal smoke clears, Stephanie is injured and Steve has gone missing!
Hello, You Must Be Going
The next morning, Hope is behaving suspiciously and asking exactly how long Ben and Ciara plan to stay. She insists they are welcome to stay as long as they like, but it’s pretty clear she has something to hide. Perhaps pertaining to the ISA folder she has locked away in a desk drawer?
Back In Business
Bo manages to hot wire his feed so that he can continue watching Hope and Ciara. Hope says that she’s been keeping busy by diving back into something she used to love, ice skating. Bo, however, can tell that his true love is lying to their daughter!
Having called Marlena to tell her what’s going on, Paul says that he’s expecting Shane to swing by any moment. Just then, the doorbell rings… but it’s not Shane. Instead, it’s his son, Andrew, who is now a member of the ISA and here to help Paul.
Stephanie awakes in the hospital, surrounded by her loved ones… with one noticeable exception. Where, she asks, is her dad? Good question…
John and Steve wake up tied to chairs, having been delivered to a mystery woman by Michaels. When she walks in the room, John says she needs no introduction. It’s Stefano’s supposedly-dead daughter, Megan Hathaway! Turns out, rising like a phoenix really runs in the DiMera family!
Smooching With The Enemy
There’s a knock at Hope’s door, and she opens it to find Harris Michaels standing there. He presents her with flowers and they discuss how she expected him to be away longer. Then, John and Steve’s kidnapper pulls Hope into a kiss. Watching in Heaven, Bo is clearly upset by this… making it the perfect cliffhanger for episode 1.
