Chaos Reigns at the Hospital After the Rooftop Drama as Jada’s Backed Into a Corner

Gabi falls down the DiMera steps just as Johnny walks in to catch her. She’s had a bit much to drink and shows off her ring, telling Johnny about her engagement. She’s got the divorce papers in hand. Johnny asks Gabi if Wendy was in the office, and she confirms that no, Wendy was not. Johnny’s concerned that means that Wendy’s still in Seattle. “With Tripp.” He figured she’d back by now. Gabi urges him to call her and not give up, then heads back upstairs for more celebrating.

Back at their apartment, Wendy bursts in, furiously telling Li the story of how her trip home got derailed with flight problems. He’s all morose as he tells her he signed the divorce papers, then flips the subject to ask if Wendy was going to let Johnny know she’s back. She’s not sure. She believes Johnny’s tale of drugged biscuits, but she might be interested in someone else…

She tells Li about Tripp, but her brother notes she doesn’t exactly sound “over the moon” about her Seattle beau. She’s not sure if she wants him or Johnny and that bothers her. But she has to choose. Why, asks Li. She should take her time to figure it out. They’ll both wait, “because you’re worth waiting for.”

She heads over to the DiMera mansion and shows up at the door just as Johnny calls to hear her phone ringing outside. He opens the door to her, tells her he missed her and he’s glad she came. She’s less enthusiastic, but while she likes him and being with him, she also likes Tripp. She apologizes for being abrupt, but tells him she wasn’t shutting him out, she just wants to see where it goes with both of them.

He can live with that. The two kiss. He likes his chances.

Gabi knocks on Li’s door with the divorce papers, telling him about her engagement to Stefan. He’d fallen asleep by the time she got upstairs with the second bottle of champagne, so she figured she’d visit Li instead. They’re both free, she says. It’s time to just move on and forget the past. He apologizes for hurting her but losing her was the worst thing to happen to him.

“It felt like something that could last,” Gabi says and kisses him farewell on the cheek, hoping he’ll me the right woman.

Rafe’s on the phone at the hospital demanding Colin is found now! Kayla walks over as he hangs up and asks what happened to Abe. She checks in on the surgery and Rafe gets a call about the Salem Inn.

Up on the roof, Talia struggles with Colin as Jada shouts at her to get away. Instead, the two go over edge and plummet to the ground right by Eric and Sloan! She sees her brother and rushes over to him bleeding on the ground. Colin doesn’t waste any time pushing the blame away, groaning “She did this,” just as Jada gets down and pushes a fallen canopy off Talia. “Why? Why Talia? Why did you do that?!”

They all get to the hospital, where Chanel wheels Paulina in, demanding info on Abe. Rafe tells her to calm down, then fills her in. When she loses it again, Rafe assures her Abe’s in good hands, but Paulina’s calm lasts about a half a second until Sloan and Eric wander in and Rafe yells at Sloan to get the hell out of there.

Eric chastises Rafe, then apologizes to Paulina. “You’re sorry? After what that bitch and her brother did to my Abraham?!” Paulina eventually calms down and starts to pray and Eric wheels her into the chapel. Chanel’s dumbfounded by the fact that Eric got her to stop freaking out. She and Rafe then sit down to give her statement.

So Talia saved her life, Rafe notes. “Like hell she did!” Talia did all this, set this up, was the reason they were on the roof. Chanel goes off on Talia and demands that Rafe not let her get away with any of it.

Sloan wanders into Colin’s room and the doctor says it’s a miracle he’s alive, probably thanks to the awning he hit. Colin wakes up and asks what happened. Sloan wants to know that too. “You promised me you would leave them alone!” He did what he had to. He had them right where he wanted them until Talia and Jada showed up and his girlfriend pushed him over.

Sloan wants to know why he didn’t leave. “Colin, I miss mom and dad as much as you do, but there are limits. You can’t kill!” Maybe she couldn’t do what had to be done, but he could, and he’d do it all again.

Over in Talia’s room, Jada’s holding Talia’s hand, who’s sitting up and awake. Kayla comes in to examine her and thinks her arm might be broken, but otherwise “I would say you’re a very lucky girl.” She leaves again and Talia asks how Chanel is. Chanel and Paulina are both fine, Jada says. Talia then insists things just got out of hand, but Jada tells her this was Colin’s plan all along. “Why do you give a damn about him?”

She urges her sister to forget about Colin and be glad it’s over, but Talia asks if Jada can at least see if he’s OK. Kayla comes back with pain medication and Jada leaves, bursting in on Sloan to handcuff Colin to the bed and place him under arrest.

Out in the waiting room, Jada says she just arrested Colin and Chanel demands to know whether Talia’s been arrested too. If she’s not by tonight, Chanel’s calling the DA… and the media. Rafe tells Jada to go home and get some rest, but she tells him she’s still on duty and has an arrest to make.

Eric wheels Paulina back in as Kayla lets everyone know that Abe’s out of surgery and it went well. She pushes Paulina in to see her husband. Eric tells Rafe again that Sloan didn’t know what happened and Rafe’s snide remark gets more chastising from Eric for being a jerk.

In his room, Colin wants to know if Sloan’s “for me or against me.” Sloan promises that he’s her brother no matter what, but he doesn’t need family. He needs a lawyer to get him out of this. She’s aghast. He went after the mayor and his wife. But she’ll help him.

And as we close out, Jada slinks into Talia’s room, tells her Colin won’t die, then breaks the news that he’s been arrested… “and now I have to do the same with you.”
