In the conference room, Sloan tells Paulina her client knows what happened with Chanel in college and hands her a folder. Paulina reads it and demands to know what Sloan wants. Chanel pours wine for her, Allie, and Alex at the apartment. After they make awkward small talk about Sonny’s health, he asks why they called him over. Allie stumbles over her words as she tells Alex they want to take him up on his offer. He asks, what offer? Allie talks around it without actually saying threesome. Chanel thinks if she can’t say the word, that might mean she’s not ready for one.

Alex is taken aback, but recalls them flatly refusing him. What changed their minds? Allie explains it was her idea because they’re going through a rough patch and aren’t feeling as connected as they want to be. Chanel adds it’s like an adventure they can share. It’s not about the other person, but the two of them sharing something together. They thought of him because he wouldn’t want more. Plus, he’s single, so no one would get jealous. Unless, Chanel muses, there’s something going on with Stephanie. He tells them he saw her with Chad, so if they want to take him up on his offer, then, “Hell yeah. Let’s do it” They toast, but Chanel and Allie look unsure as they drink.

Later, Chanel, Allie, and Alex do tequila shots. He thinks this will be incredible, which means it will be repeated. Maybe not with him, but after they do it once they’ll want to do it again. Chanel asks how they start. Alex takes their shot glasses and kisses Chanel. And then Allie. He asks if it was okay. The women agree it was definitely okay and kiss each other. They stand and pull Alex to his feet. They lead him to the bedroom and have passionate sex.

Afterward, a breathless Alex steps out of the room. Chanel and Allie agree they are both better than okay. They grin and exchange I love yous.

On the patio at Julie’s Place, Stephanie breaks away from Chad’s kiss. She wonders if this is too soon after Abigail. He suggests they get out of there and she invites him for a nightcap at her place. Since they’ve both had too much to drink, he decides to call a ride-share and pulls her in close again.

Stephanie brings Chad to Steve and Kayla’s since her parents are at the hospital. She pours them drinks and toasts to where the night takes them. Chad slurs his words and they drink, before kissing again. They start to clumsily take off each other’s clothes, but Chad stops. He can’t do this. He paces as he tries to explain, but she understands. He’s still grieving his wife, and she’s scared out of her mind about her mother. They agree to file it under a bad idea. Stephanie quips about almost sleeping with him on the same day she hired him. They agree they’re okay and Chad leaves. Stephanie’s smile fades.

EJ assumes Ava knew the truth would eventually catch up with her — “Today is that day,” he smugly declares. Ava says he’s right and apologizes for lying to Johnny, but he doesn’t care. He could see how much she loved Jake, and she didn’t lie to him about anything else. EJ prepares to call the cops, but Johnny stops him. If EJ loves him as much as he purports, he will put the phone down. EJ relents. He won’t send Ava to prison as long as she leaves Salem and never returns. He tells Ava her bags are in the foyer. Johnny shouts at his father, but Ava says it’s okay. EJ leaves them to say goodbye.
