After Abigail Blows Up Her World, Gwen Leaves Her Sister Speechless With a Shocking Reveal of Her Own

As Jake aimlessly flips TV channels at home, Ben stops by. They crack open beers and Ben notices the air mattress. Jake tells him he has a new roomie and they indulge in some of Ava’s culinary delights. Jake adds that she also gives a wicked massage. It could all be over though, considering she was just arrested.

An angry Trask enters the interrogation room. As much as she hates it, Ava’s deal has been formalized. She has full immunity. Ava knows Trask is getting her favorite thing in return, which is a headline-making case: The People vs. Gwen Rizczech.

Gabi and Rafe have a drink at The Bistro. She thinks he should be celebrating the fact that Ava was arrested. He resists gloating, but ultimately toasts to Ava going to Statesville for a very long time. Ava strolls by and says, “Or not.” She gleefully tells them she got immunity. “Please tell Nicole I say, Hi,” she tells Rafe before offering to give Jake Gabi’s regards. She saunters out.

Back at the apartment, Jake fills Ben in on all that’s happened with Ava and Gabi. Ben asks if Jake is interested in Ava. Jake says it doesn’t matter considering she’s in jail. Ava walks in. Ben leaves as Ava enjoys a glass of wine and tells Jake Gabi should learn not to play out of her league.

After Ava changes for bed, she declares she’ll take the air mattress. Jake has a better option. “Why don’t we share the bed?” They laugh over never platonically sharing a bed with someone before, but agree there’s a first time for everything. They awkwardly get under the covers and face away from each other.

Gabi marches into the police station to confront Trask. Rafe follows and hears from the D.A. that Ava is the key to a more high-profile case. He shouldn’t take it personally. In fact, he needs to arrest Gwen right now. And he needs to make it as public as possible. Rafe leaves, but Gabi isn’t done with Trask yet. She warns she is going to Abe about this.

In the Square, Abigail announces she finally has the goods on Gwen. She overplayed her hand and the party’s over. Xander asks if whatever she has to say could be said in private. Considering all Gwen’s publicly done to her family, Abigail wouldn’t dream of it. Jennifer holds Jack back as he tries to intervene and Chad looks on proudly.

Abigail declares it wasn’t the pilot who knocked her out at the airstrip and asks Gwen if she wants to tell them. Or should she? Xander accuses her of enjoying this. Abigail says, “You bet your ass I am.” She goes on to explain Ava ratted Gwen out for clubbing her over the head. Gwen fidgets with the collar of her dress as she tries to cast doubt on Ava’s claims. Abigail continues that what Gwen did to her is nothing compared to what she did to Sarah. Ava begs Xander not to listen, as Abigail details how Gwen knew Kristen was keeping Sarah locked away.

To prove her claims, Abigail produces a copy of Ava’s statement, declaring Gwen discovered Sarah was on the island in November. Xander begs Gwen to say it isn’t true. “I can’t do that,” she tearfully chokes out. Abigail throws more fuel on the fire by telling Xander Gwen impersonated Sarah when everyone thought she came back and treated him so cruelly. Xander’s face hardens as he turns to Gwen. “How could you have possibly done that?”

Sobbing, Gwen explains she was afraid of losing him, especially after losing Jack. Besides, she thought Sarah was being well taken care of. When Abigail points out Kristen drugged Sarah, Gwen says she thought that would make it better for her. Xander erupts, causing Gwen to jump back. Xander asks Abigail to finish the story. She explains the injection Anna gave to Sarah wasn’t the antidote because Gwen switched it out for another dose of the drug.

Chad stops Jack, who lunges for Gwen demanding to know if it’s true. Gwen says, “Dad. You were gone.” He orders her to never to call him that again. There are no words except, “I am done with you.” Gwen sobs as he walks away. She looks to Xander and asks, “Are you done with me too?” He says she might as well have put a bullet through Sarah’s brain. “You are the worst person I have ever known,” he spits. Anguished, Xander runs off, leaving Gwen to lash out at Abigail. Jennifer steps in to give Gwen a piece of her mind, as Rafe shows up to handcuff the bride.

Abigail faces Jack, who assures her they’re good. She did what she had to do. Abigail didn’t want to be right, but Gwen had to be stopped. As Rafe leads her away, Gwen whispers to Abigail, “Just so you know. Your precious grandmother — I killed that old bitch on purpose.” Jennifer asks a stunned Abigail what she just said to her.
