The Telethon of Stars is celebrating their 53rd year Saturday November 14 and Sunday November 15 at the Luther F. Carson Four Rivers Center in downtown Paducah, Ky. The telethon is a free, 15-hour show, open to the public and this year, and kicking it all off at 10:00 PM is Diamond Rio, who headlines the Telethon, with Ball in the House, The Josh Williams Band, Reggie LaFaye, Eric Horner, Lew & 61 South, Jaimee English and Ray Ligon performing. Soap fans should be sure to catch that first segment, because NBC’s Days of Our Lives star Jay Kenneth Johnson (Philip Kiriakis) will be making a guest appearance sometime during 10:00 PM – 11:00 PM. This year if you can’t be in Paducah, you can watch the telethon on the live webcast at the Telethon of The Stars website.

For over 50 years, the telethon has raised money to help children and adults with disabilities in the western Kentucky, southeast Missouri, southern Illinois and western Tennessee areas. Soaps.com hopes that the telethon will exceed their expectations of generous donations this year.
