Chandler Massey Reveals What Made It the Right Time to Exit Days of our Lives — & the Possibility of a Return (Exclusive)
Monday, June 1st, 2020

Chandler Massey would sure love to play an evil twin role, if he got the chance.
Will Horton (Chandler Massey) has had a pretty terrible year on Days of our Lives so far, spending a good chunk of it separated from the love of his life Sonny (Freddie Smith) and stuck in jail for a crime he didn’t commit. Fortunately, he recently got sprung and bounced back into Sonny’s arms – but as he told Soaps.com, the actor has his eye on the future. Why? Well, because as we already know, Chandler Massey is exiting Days before the end of 2020.
As Massey explained in a wide-ranging exclusive chat, Will’s definitely got some unresolved anger that’s lingering from his prison nightmare, but the actor doesn’t have a problem with how fast Will forgave Maggie for her role in it. He’s also eager to see Will and Sonny talk about expanding their family, even if they might not have much time left.

Meanwhile, Massey has decamped from California to his parents’ home in Georgia, where he’s maintaining social distance in a state that hasn’t quite gone full quarantine. His days are full of being with his family, brushing up on his tennis swing (he thinks that both his forehand and backhand are terrible) and growing a beard that could allow him to play Will’s evil twin, should the story head in that direction. But you might be surprised at what he’s really thinking he’ll do with himself post-Days of our Lives and post-quarantine – going back to school!
