Days’ Victoria Konefal Teases Ben and Ciara’s Engagement and the Difficult Struggles Ahead

Days of our Lives actress shares trouble ahead for her character.

Victoria Konefal, better known to Soaps.com readers and Days of our Lives viewers as Ciara Brady, recently spoke to Hollywood Life about what viewers can expect to see coming up for her character and her on-screen love Ben Weston, played by Robert Scott Wilson. The duo has been affectionately referred to as Cin by their fans. Warning – there are spoilers ahead!

Very soon Ciara and Ben will become engaged. Konefal said, “I can say that the Cin proposal is going to be very simple in a grand way. It’s very Ciara and Ben. It’s not fancy. There are no bells and whistles. It’s simple and it’s the core of who they are as a couple. There’s a really cute surprise during the proposal that’s going to be a tear-jerker, so keep your eyes peeled for the surprise. It’s adorable.” Fans also won’t have to wait long for the wedding plans to begin. “As soon as the engagement happens here, Ciara goes into full-blown wedding mode,” Konefal reveals, “She [Ciara] wants this wedding more than anything, so she is totally focused on making her marriage happen.”

However, there are likely to be bumps along the way. Ben is a reformed serial killer, having been sent to prison for being The Necktie Killer. It was eventually revealed he was mentally ill, and medications helped him get better. He and Ciara fell in love, but initially faced opposition from many, including her mother Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Hope’s then-husband Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Konefal admits, “Naturally, Hope is going to be protective just because Ciara is her baby girl. No mother wants to see her child grow up, so this is the last step of Ciara turning into a full-blown adult. There’s going to be some issues there, but ultimately Hope is going to approve of it. She wants Ciara to be happy more than anything.”

Over the next few months, viewers will see Ciara dealing with new and difficult challenges. “She’s going to be faced with some serious challenges that’ll test her character. She’s going to give it everything that she has, without spoiling too much. There’s a lot of strife. If you thought that Ciara had a hard life before, wait until a couple months from now. Things get really difficult for her, so brace yourself.”
