Days of our lives drake Hogestyn celebrates son ben's marriage to passions alum

Soap opera alums tie the knot.

Soaps.com sends our congratulations to soap opera alums Ben Hogestyn and Danica Stewart, who tied the knot at the end of July. Days of our Lives veteran actor, and father of the groom, Drake Hogestyn (John Black) posted a photo and video on his social media to celebrate the big event. The photo showed the bride and groom with a few soap opera friends captioned, “Woohoo Ben!! Congratulations Son…and WELCOME TO THE FAMILY Danica! We love you! ❤,” along with a video of the proud father with his son, “Cheers to the first page of an amazing new chapter in your life kids! Let the party begin…”

Ben Hogestyn landed his first daytime role playing a gang member on Days of our Lives in 2002. He went on to play Harry Jackson on The Bold and the Beautiful in 2006 followed by a General Hospital stint as Lucas Jones from 2005 to 2006. Over the years, he’s appeared on Ghost Whisperer, Entourage and Cold Case. Hogestyn also owns Ben Hogestyn Malibu, where he creates one of kind “bespoke exotic & leather handbags” in California.

Danica Stewart was the fifth actress to play General Hospital’s Maxie Jones in 2002, and is best known in the daytime world for the role of Jessica Bennett on Passions from 2003 until the soap’s last televised day following its cancellation on August 7, 2008. The actress has turned up in primetime and films over the years on such series as Drake & Josh, CSI, Crossing Jordan and Costal Dreams.
