Casting updates for Days of our Lives.

Days of our Lives is casting for several smaller roles on the NBC soap to appear on the show over the next six months due to the fact that the show tapes that far in advance. Some of these roles are for a single appearance while others may be recurring. Salem Shopper

Days of our Lives will be bringing on Sarah Benoit (Grey’s Anatomy, How to Get Away With Murder, Station 19) as a shopper at Horton Place. The actress will have a scene with Linsey Godfrey (Sarah Horton) on November 19.

The May twins have been portraying Mackenzie (Mickey) Horton on Days of our Lives since November 11 and have been in scenes with Linsey Godfrey who portrays Mackenzie’s mother Sarah Horton. As seen in the header photo.

Actor returns, as a new character

Brock Kelly, who portrayed Abigail’s boyfriend Josh, on Days of our Lives from August 2005 Sonny Evan park Days of our Livesto May 2006, in 11 episodes, is returning to the NBC soap beginning on November 12. This time, Kelly will play the role of David’s nanny, Evan Frears. Look for him to share scenes with Rafe (Galen Gering) and Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith). Some will also remember Kelly as playing the character of Sam on Young and the Restless in 2004.

Dr. Shah returns, followed by a recast

Andre Khabbazi returns to Days of our Lives as Dr. Henry Shah on July 24. Though he was supposed to return on September 12 as well, the actor was unavailable at the time of taping, therefore Piter Marek will step into the recast role for a brief return which ends with his death September 26. This isn’t Marek’s first time on Days of our Lives… back in 2012 he played Dr. Lewis. Khabbazi first played the part back in 2017 when he treated Abigail (Marci Miller) after a hit-and-run, and returned in early 2018 to romance Jennifer Horton (Melissa Reeves), though at the time she was interested in Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) so the relationship went nowhere. He appeared a few more times in 2018. Khabbazi previously played Officer Oscar Ruiz on Sunset Beach and Alec Moretti on The Young and the Restless.

Salem medical responders

Tom Ohmer will be seen as Joe on Days of our Lives January 6, 2020, and April 22, 2020. This isn’t his first appearance in Salem. Ohmer portrayed McCoy/ Adam Thomas on Days December 13, 2011.

Delpaneaux Wills plays an EMT in Salem January 6, 2020. Wills has played a nurse and an orderly on Days of our Lives in 2010, 2012, and November 2018. Some may recognize Wills from his role on General Hospital as an Anesthesiologist and a reporter in 2008 and again in 2017 and 2018.

Medical consultant

Alex Hernandez returns to Days of our Lives as a medical consultant during the week of September 2. The actor last appeared in the role back in June.

Thugs for hire

Derek Russo’s back to Days of our Lives September 5 as Robert, the thug who gets into a fight with Eric.

Josh Wingate will appear on Days of our Lives on September 3 as a goon. Some will remember him from ABC’s General Hospital where he played Carter in July of 2010.

Mr. Shin’s back

Michael Hagiwara appears on Days of our Lives on August 1 as Mr. Wei Shin, one of the members of DiMera Enterprises board of directors and an executive from Hong Kong, as well as during the week of August 12. Originally portrayed by Donald Li on August 14, 2014.

Order in the court

Barry Heins plays Judge Franklin on Days of our Lives for one episode on July 31. Heins has had small roles on several shows, including Friends and played a restaurant manager on the original Beverly Hills, 90210.

Bartender needed

Shawn Kathryn Kane will appear on Days of our Lives as a bartender July 31. Kane has previously appeared as a waitress on the NBC soap opera in 2014 and in 2016. She was also seen on Bold and the Beautiful as a Forrester employee in 2013 and on General Hospital as Cassie the waitress in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, and 2018.
