Days of our Lives star runs for charity.

Sal Stowers’ character on Days of our Lives Lani Price may have just gotten engaged to Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) but the actress recently enjoyed a milestone of a different kind: finishing her first half marathon. Stowers has been sharing her workouts on Instagram leading up to her race and posted about her triumph over the weekend, which was happy to see garner support from her fellow soap opera alum.

Sal Stowers posted, “Ran my first Half Marathon today with Team World Vision in the beautiful Victoria Falls…through a national park reserve, with wild animals all around us!!!!! We ran for the most vulnerable children, we ran for clean water, we ran to make a difference. My Race time was 13.1miles in 2:12hrs. 😱♥️ I was so nervous for today and now I can’t believe it’s over! Feeling so beyond proud of myself. What a day!!! Thank you Team World Vision!!!” She followed that up with, “I will never forget this moment. ♥️ xx”

To congratulate her friend, Marci Miller (ex-Abigail Deveraux DiMera) made her own Instagram post saying, “SO proud of this woman. Has a dream to change the world and is out there DOING IT. Trained HARD (y’all know you been watching her crazy insane workout vids) and made sacrifices in order to travel to Zimbabwe to bring water to the pieces of the world that need it. 100% genuine, 200% inspiring.”

Stowers also received congratulations in the comments of her posts from Martha Madison (Belle Black Brady, Days of our Lives), who chimed in, “Such a great feeling! Congrats!!!” and Annie Ilonzeh, (ex-Maya Ward, General Hospital), who wrote “Proud of u 🙌🏽⚡️”
