Days of our Lives actor helps to make learning easy.

Those behind the instructional For Dummies books, which cover numerous topics, will now offer followers another avenue to make learning easier – and the best part is, it involves one of daytime’s biggest actors. Soaps.com has learned that Days of our Lives’ Eric Martsolf, who has played Brady Black since 2008, has been named the host of For Dummies: The Podcast, which will be a weekly series and debuts on Monday June 17.

Of the podcast project, announced via the Dummies website, it states, “With more than 250 million books in print and countless topics covered, the iconic Dummies brand has revolutionized learning by making complex subjects easy to understand. Each weekly episode of For Dummies: The Podcast, will explore one of the For Dummies titles in their approachable, fun style.”

The first For Dummies title was published by IDG Books in November of 1991 and was written by Dan Gookin with an initial print run of 7,500. Since then, the brand has nearly 2,500 titles and over 200 million books in print, featuring authors such as Stephen P. Maran, Herman Aguinis, Dan Gookin, Michael Taillard and Andy Rathbone, Karl Barksdale, Mark Ryan, Mary Jane Sterling and more.

Can’t get enough of the Days of our Lives actor? Fans will have the chance to meet Eric Martsolf, as well as other stars from the NBC soap opera, during a fun karaoke dance party event this weekend. Martsolf is also a Daytime Emmy winner and is known for playing Ethan Winthrop on Passions and more recently Maxwell Crowne on Ladies of the Lake: Return to Avalon.
