Days of our Lives actress gives birth to girl.

Update August 1: Soaps.com is thrilled to announce that Days of our Lives’ Jen Lilley gave birth to her daughter, Julie Evangeline, on July 30 at 7:10 AM. The newborn weighed in at 6 lbs 8 oz and measured 19 inches long. Lilley shared a photo on Instagram and enthused, “She’s here!! Thank you @people for being so supportive and lovely the entire journey!” The actress also captured the highlights of the birth on video (see below).

As Soaps.com reported on March 20, Days of our Lives’ actress Jen Lilley, who played Theresa Donovan from 2013 to 2018, is expecting a baby girl with her husband, Jason Wayne. The couple will call their daughter Julie Evangeline. Lilley shared a photo and the news on her Instagram account and told followers, “We’re thrilled to finally announce that we’re pregnant, and even more overjoyed to say it’s a baby girl!!!! Due on or around my birthday 💕💕 thank you @people for shining a light on #fostercare and #adoption as well. Love makes a family.”

This is especially sweet for the actress and her husband in light of Lilley opening up about a devastating miscarriage last year, when she recalled, “Like 1 out of every 4 women, I’ve miscarried. When it happened, I was devastated and felt so alone. I was 12 weeks along, just a week from telling my family, and beyond excited.”

The new baby girl, when she arrives, will join her big brothers, Lilley and Wayne’s soon-to-be-adopted son, who became a part of their family through the foster system, and his biological brother, who they also hope to adopt.

In an interview with People, Lilley expressed excitement surrounding the challenge of having three little ones, and said, “I’m so relieved. I absolutely love being a mom of boys, but there’s a couple of reasons we wanted a girl — one [being], we don’t have one.” She went on to add, “More importantly, the reason we wanted the girl is now my sons won’t have a bio-son to compare themselves to and I think that’s really, really important.”

Soaps.com congratulates Jen Lilley and Jason Wayne on the happy news of their expanding family and wishes them all the very best. Also, view photos of other soap stars’ pregnancy and birth announcements in the gallery below.
