Alison Sweeney discusses what she has been up to since departing Days of our Lives.

Soaps.com sat down to talk with “Days of our Lives” Alison Sweeney (Sami Brady) about her upcoming Hallmark movie The Irresistible Blueberry Farm, “Days of our Lives,” and an upcoming Food Network special.

In the interview Sweeney explains how she fell in love with the book “The Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Café” by Mary Simses. “Ellen was someone I could relate to, which meant she was someone a lot of my viewers and fans could relate to,” Sweeney says of the film and book’s main character Ellen Branford. Watch our interview where she discusses the importance of bringing daytime vets in on the project, and what it was like to work with Shirley Jones (Colleen Brady) for the first time. Yes, you read that right.
