Days actor joins Jon Voight, James Caan in Hallmark’s ‘JL Ranch’
Ex-Days of our Lives actor, Trevor Donovan, in new Hallmark Home & Family.
Trevor Donovan (ex-Jeremy, “Days of our Lives,” “Surrogates”) appeared on Hallmark’s Home & Family Friday August 19 to promote his current role of John Voight’s prodigal son Brady in Crystal Sky’s contemporary western drama “JL Ranch.” Award winning actors tapped for the film include James Caan (“The Godfather,” “Misery”) as Tap Peterson, Jon Voight (“Deliverance,” “Ray Donovan”) as John Landsburg, and Melanie Griffith (“Working Girl,” “Stuart Little 2”) plays Laura Lee.
The movie tells the story of a veteran rancher and former sheriff, John Landsburg, who is forced to face some federal bureaucracy when an old enemy-cum-millionaire, Tap Peterson alleges that John doesn’t actually own his beloved family ranch which is located in a small town in Texas. John’s ex-girlfriend, Laura Lee, appears after hearing of his troubles with his land, and John’s headstrong daughter Rebecca Landsburg (Teri Polo) has her own ideas planned for her homestead.
Other stars appearing in the film are Grant Bowler as Sheriff Whitlock, Steven Bauer as John’s trusted right-hand man, Hector, Abby Brammell as John’s daughter, and Reagan Higgins, who lives at the ranch with her husband Jerry and their children.
Soaps.com readers can watch the film on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel Sunday August 21 at 9:00 PM EST.
