Beth Milstein assists Josh Griffith as Days headwriter

The door for new or returning Days writers opens again.
Soaps.com reported Monday February 9, 2015 that Dena Higley and Josh Griffith were taking over as Days of our Lives headwriters. The change has been in place for a year, though Higley has already taken a leave of absence. Due to this absence, Sony and NBC have brought Beth Milstein from “Young and the Restless” to assist Griffith. Milstein’s material will begin airing soon.
Milstein is no stranger to soaps. In addition to writing for “Y&R,” she wrote for “Days of our Lives” in 1980 briefly as a dialogue writer, then worked as a breakdown writer and producer from 1981-1988. Milstein returned a year later in 1990 as a staff writer and was promoted to associate head writer, with Richard J. Allen. She left in 1992 and made another return as a writer in August of 2006. She stayed one year.
The scribe has also written for “One Stormy Night” (1992), “Sunset Beach” (1997-1998), “Port Charles” (2000), “The Bold and the Beautiful” (2002-2005) and “The Young and the Restless” (2008-2015).
