Michael Logan has retracted his earlier tweet suggesting that Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami) was sure to return to "Days" in time for the soap's 50th anniversary.
Update on @Ali_Sweeney 's return for #Days 50th: According to her PR rep, "This is wishful thinking on Ken's part, not a done deal."

Fans of departed "Days of our Lives" star Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami) have something to be happy about. TV Guide's Michael Logan has confirmed that the longtime star of the soap will be headed back to Salem in time for the show's 50th anniversary.
News of Sweeney's return follows last week's announcement that fellow fan faves Peter Reckell and Stephen Nichols are set to return to Days as well. No word yet on what will bring Samantha back, and for how long, but Soaps.com will keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Sweeney left the cast of "Days" in October 2014. Fans can catch her this May in Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder.
