Former "Days of our Lives" star Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami) has just been cast in a new role. She will be starring in the "Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder" franchise for the Hallmark Channel. Sweeney will be playing Hannah Swensen, owner of the Cookie Jar bakery. After a murder in her town occurs, she starts to use her skills for more than just gossip and confectionery. The series is based on the best-selling books by Joanne Fluke and will also star "All My Children" alum Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan).
