Back to the book.

“Days of our Lives” star John Aniston (Victor) has joined forces with Oscar winners Morgan Freeman (“Invictus”), Olympia Dukakis (“Steel Magnolias”) and Oscar nominee Nia Vardalos (“My Big Fat Greek Wedding”) for the audio narration of the new children’s book, Loukoumi And The Schoolyard Bully by Nick Katsoris. The book will be published in November by Dream Day Press. The newest book in the popular series finds its eponymous character being bullied by an alligator thanks to his name. However, it’s not long before he and his enemy manage to overcome their differences and learn to get along. The book will feature a new character, Oinkerella the pig, who was inspired by Caila Tsamutalis, the 10 year-old winner of the Loukoumi Illustration Contest.

John Aniston will be heard in the audio version of the book as Loukoumi’s Daddy. Fellow Daytime vets Constantine Maroulis (ex-Constantine, “B&B”) and Frank Dicopoulos (ex-Frank, “Guiding Light”) also appear on the recording. Proceeds from the sales of Loukoumi And The Schoolyard Bully will go to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “The Loukoumi book series has long been a friend to children, opening their eyes to the world around them. This time, it provides comfort and assurance to kids who are frightened and bewildered by bullying. A worthy subject. We at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are honored to be beneficiaries of such a noble project,” said Marlo Thomas, National Outreach Director of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
