Original Post April 18:

This should be fun! Ross Mathews (You know, “Ross the Intern” on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, right?) will guest-star on the Wednesday, May 14 episode of Days of Our Lives as a patron at the Salem Health Club. Watch as Chris (Ross Matthews) befriends Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney), who is trying to ignore the fact that she’s jealous of husband EJ DiMera’s (James Scott) flirtations with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker).

Spoiler Alert!

At the treadmills, Sami confides in Chris about her jealousy over Nicole and EJ working out together. When Nicole and EJ disappear into the sauna together, Sami asks Chris to spy on the two of them for her. Chris is more than happy to help her out but what he reports back from visiting the sauna is not what Sami’s going to want to hear!

Mathews, known to late-night television viewers as Ross the Intern on the #1 late-night program, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” has interviewed some of the biggest stars, all while making everyone laugh in the process! Outrageous as he is, E! Entertainment Television even named him one of the 30 Most Outrageous Celebrities!

Mathews is from Mount Vernon, Washington, he graduated from the University of La Verne in California and during his senior year he became an intern for the “Tonight Show” carrying out normal intern duties, such as copying, faxing, getting coffee, etc. Crazily enough, on the very last day of his internship, Mathews began his on-air career and was asked to interview the stars at the premiere of “Ocean’s Eleven.” His segment was a hit and he then went on to cover many more red carpet and sporting events for the “Tonight Show.” In addition to his correspondent duties on the Tonight Show, Mathews also writes a “Tonight Show” blog and co-hosts the web-show “The John & Ross Show.” Mathews has also appeared on the fifth season of “Celebrity Fit Club,” NBC’s “Phenomenon,” “Critics’ Choice Awards Red Carpet Show,” and NBC’s “1 vs. 100.”

Soaps.com wants to congratulate Matthews on his guest spot on the show and we’re excited to see him in action!
