Although the actors tend to get some of the hype, nothing that happens onscreen would be possible without all of the hard work from the people in the background.

This year, “Days of our Lives” has scooped up a number of technical nominations. The academy gave the show a nod in the Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team category for Head Writer Dena Higley along with Co-Head Writer Chistopher Whitesell; Script Writers John Newman, Ryan Quan, David Cherrill, Richard Culliton, Carolyn Culliton; Associate Writers Rick Draughon, Jeanne Marie Ford, Michellle Poteet Lisanti, Lisa Seidman and Script Editor Fran Myers.

The show has also been recognized in the Outstanding Achievement In Music Direction and Composition For A Drama Series category for nominees Music Director, Composer D. Brent Nelson; Music Director Steve Reinhardt and Composer Ken Corday.

In addition, the series has also been nominated in the Outstanding Achievement In Technical Direction/Electronic Camera/Video Control For A Drama Series category for Technical Director, Camera Operator Mike Caruso; Technical Director John O’Neill; Camera Operators John Sizemore, Michael Mecartea, Bill Scott and Hugo Morelli; Video Controllers Ken Williamson and Alexis Dellar-Hanson.
