Now Hear This: Days of Our Lives’ *Real* Vivian Back at Last

Louise Sorel, who played one of Days of Our Lives’ biggest villainesses, will be back next week, when Vivian Alamain returns — well sort of. As reported in the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Vivian will reach out to her son Stefan. Though we won’t actually see Alamain in the flesh, we will hear her voice when Stefan receives an unexpected call from his mother on Monday, January 30.

So, why will Vivian be placing a call to Stefan? Well, word may have reached his mama’s ears that her dear son’s memories had been toyed with. Whether or not she has an opinion on where Stefan should go from here — by keeping Gabi out of his head or allowing the deprogramming to take place — will remain to be seen, but in any case, it’ll be a treat to have such an iconic presence back into the mix, even if it’s just her voice.

For those who don’t recall, the last time we saw Vivian (then played by Linda Dano) was back in 2021 when her sidekick Ivan presented her with Eli and Lani’s twin babies, as a way to make up for her not being able to raise Stefan and Jake. However, in the end, the two were caught and Vivian landed in Statesville, where she later ran into Kristen and demanded she include her in on an escape plan.
