Young & Restless’ Greg Rikaart Returns to Days of Our Lives

As Chad says in the video below, it’s time for some “good news/bad news.” The good news is that Sonny and Will are returning to Salem now that Days of Our Lives is back from their Olympic break, but the bad news is that Leo Stark is coming with them!

Actually, it’s all good news, especially for Greg Rikaart fans! The actor promises “Great stuff ahead” for his troublemaking alter-ego, and if the promo is any indication, it looks like he’ll be clashing plenty with Chad, Will and Sonny — and possibly even tearing their friendship apart! Check out the video that Rikaart tweeted below.

But while Days of Our Lives fans celebrated the news, Young & Restless fans viewers were getting a tad nervous as they hit up the comments to ask if this meant he was leaving the CBS sudser.

While Rikaart didn’t drop any hints as to Kevin’s fate, the good news is that his time in Salem shouldn’t take him away from Genoa City. According to Soap Opera Digest‘s most recent issue, the actor is back for an extended stint. “I’m still there,” he told Digest, “I’m there indefinitely. I’m having more fun now than ever.”

That means that since Days of Our Lives tapes months in advance, we’ve already seen him pulling double duty on both soaps — we just weren’t aware of it yet!

Though Leo hasn’t been on Days of Our Lives proper since 2020, he’s been busy making appearances in the web spinoff, Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem and the Christmas special, A Very Salem Christmas. And both those times, he actually ended up saving the day, so hey, maybe he’s turned a new leaf!

We’ll just have to wait and see what brings Leo to town this time around, but if there’s one thing we know, it’s that wherever he goes he brings the drama with him.

While we wait to see what happens, why not catch up with a gallery of Chad and Abigail’s love story? Hopefully they can reunite soon — at least before Leo shows up and causes more headaches for Chad!
