Is Days of Our Lives’ Victoria Konefal Putting an End to ‘Cin’ to Go ‘Putting On My Cowgirl Hat’
Victoria Konefal has long been candid about her status as Days of Our Lives‘ Ciara ever since she dropped from contract to recurring. Her plan had always been to work on other projects, but the show’s been eager to keep the talented actress who’s a part of one of Salem’s most popular supercouples.
After she’d taken a little time off initially, she revealed on an episode of Not Too Deep with Grace Helbig, the powers that be “wanted me back for another year and I was like, ‘Hey, I can’t do it. I did quit for a reason. I love y’all, appreciate you so much, but understand me and where I’m coming from.’ My artistic integrity was no longer being fulfilled.”

The show agreed to keep her as recurring, so she’d be free to seek out other things to work on. After that decision, of course, we got the devil baby storyline which put Ciara and Ben front and center as they fended off MarDevil’s plans for their unborn child.
“I’ve been doing that for a couple of months,” the actress noted, adding, “I’m very grateful.”
Ciara’s set to give birth soon, but with the show shooting so far in advance, those scenes would have wrapped months ago. So as her alter-ego’s been taking a little breather, the actress has been auditioning and making full use of the freedom that comes with not being on contract.
“Auditions are really slow right now,” she admitted. “I’ve gotten a couple of ‘Almosts,’ a couple of films. I do have something on the horizon. A friend of mine is producing a film in the South, and he pitched it to me. I can’t really talk much about the title or the storyline, but I like it. So, I think I’m gonna go ahead and take some time off and do that. I might be putting on my cowgirl hat!”
It sounds like we may not be seeing Ciara back on the canvas again for a little while, but that doesn’t mean she nor Konefal are gone for good. The actress referred to her plans as “some time off,” rather than leaving. Plus, she’s made clear before that she’s very grateful to the show for being so willing to work with her.
We wish her the best on her break, but hopefully Ciara and “Cin” won’t be off our screens for too long! After all, the devil doesn’t seem quite ready to let them go just yet.
