Days of Our Lives Emmy Winner Sparks a Guessing Game With News That She’s Back at Work
Cady McClain mystified as well as excited fans on January 6 when she took to Instagram to reveal that she was “back on set!”
What she neglected to say — couldn’t at the time — was which set that was! “Fun to be working again on such a terrific show!” she told her followers. “Can’t wait to be able to share the news with you all soon!
“Meantime, hoping you are all taking good care of yourselves,” she added. “Sending hugs!”

Of course, what we might’ve preferred in that moment was clues. The soap vet is, of course, best known for her long-running role of Dixie on All My Children. But since the primetime reboot Pine Valley has yet to go into production, it couldn’t be that.
Maybe Dixie is paying a visit to General Hospital and Port Charles? She might do a double take if she gets a gander at Martin!

Days of Our Lives recently brought back Melissa Reeves, only to wrap up Jennifer’s storyline with Jack, so it doesn’t seem likely that McClain is reprising the recast role for which she won her third Emmy (and, not for nothing, made history as the first actress to score victories for three different shows on three different networks in three different decades).
As the World Turns, where McClain played Rosanna, is sadly no longer with us. And The Young and the Restless’ Kelly, insofar as any soap character is ever really dead, is pushing up daisies.
