Jackée Harry Joins Days of Our Lives in a *Fabulous* New Role
Actress Jackée Harry has revealed that she has joined the cast of Days of Our Lives in an upcoming new role, set to air in the beginning of March. During an appearance on Today, Harry, who got her start in television playing Lily Mason on Another World, made the announcement that she had signed on with the NBC soap opera and alluded to her new character in saying, “She’s fabulous. You know I play the fabulous woman you know that.”
She went on to elaborate, “It’s a brand-new storyline with African-Americans. And they’ve been at the forefront of hiring minorities; they have a lot of diversity on Days of Our Lives.”
Although Harry didn’t reveal her character’s name or connections, she teased, “I don’t want to give away the storyline but I have a daughter and, you know, ain’t nothing but trouble in River City.” Soaps.com has since then learned new details about the top-secret role, which you can read here along with the cast’s reaction to the primetime legend’s hiring.
