Biography

Patsy Pease was born in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1956 and later attended the North Carolina School of the Arts. She won the governor's scholarship for her junior and senior years and is an accredited teacher for the American Film Institute and S.A.G. Conservatory.

Pease's first soap opera role was as waitress Cissie Mitchell Sentell on "Search for Tomorrow" from 1979 until 1983 before she went on to create her most memorable role, Kimberly Brady on "Days of Our Lives" in 1984. She has played the role off and on for years.

Pease had a difficult childhood. Her mother was an abusive schizophrenic who beat her and her siblings. Pease was 15 when her mother committed suicide, and has had multiple back surgeries as a result of her abuse. She now speaks as an abuse survivor at support groups.
