Adolfo Larrue Martinez III was born in Glendale, California and graduated from Verdugo Hills High School in Tujunga, Los Angeles. He found his love for acting while attending UCLA and played semi-professional baseball for five seasons.

While Martinez has starred in many feature films like “She-Devil” and “Once Upon a Scoundrel” he is most well-known for his television roles.

Martinez married actress Mare Winningham in 1981 but they divorced later that year. He married Leslie Bryans in 1982 and they have three children.

He premiered on daytime as Cruz Castillo on “Santa Barbara” in 1984 and went on to appear in a number of other soaps. He began appearing as Eduardo Hernandez on “Days of our Lives” in 2015.
