Originally posted May 9: On the heels of news that Marci Miller is leaving Days with her last airdate as November 20, 2018, Soaps.com has learned that Kate Mansi will be returning to the NBC soap opera to reprise the role of Abigail Deveraux DiMera, one she played from 2011 to 2016. The actress earned a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 2017 after Mansi made the decision to leave Days in June 2016. Mansi will return November 30, 2018 though she has already wrapped things up mid-September and will be seen until the end of February 2019.

May 16 Soaps.com reported that Kyle Lowder will be making a return to Days of our Lives but not as Brady Black, as Rex Brady October 19. The actor will be leaving Thursday November 15 when Rex heads to Pennsylvania to see Mimi and his daughter, Gigi. He’ll return in early January 2019.

Lowder originated Brady Black in 2000 and played the part until 2005, then moved to the CBS soap, Bold and the Beautiful, where he portrayed Rick Forrester until 2011. The actor then left the sudser to focus on releasing a new classical CD. The actor has also been busy working on Ken Corday’s Ladies of the Lake as Detective Shawn Daniels since 2016.

Soaps.com has learned that the role of TJ Richmond has been recast. Due to Tequan Richmond leaving General Hospital to play a starring role on Boomerang, Soap Opera Digest is reporting that daytime newcomer Tajh Bellow will debut as TJ beginning on Tuesday November 20.

Soaps.com can share that the role of Bold and Beautiful’s Kelly Spencer, daughter of Steffy Forrester and Liam Spencer, has been aged just a little, and will now be portrayed by Zoe Pennington. Kelly is expected to appear this week in scenes with Steffy and Liam preceding Thanksgiving. Previously, Baby Kelly was played by Gabriel Sporman.

Soaps.com has learned that Janet Hubert, who played Will Smith’s Aunt Viv on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, is joining GH as Yvonne, a potential love interest for Mike. Her character will debut on December 7, according to Entertainment Weekly. Vernee Watson, who plays Stella, also acted on The Fresh Prince as Smith’s mother and Hubert’s sister.

Updated November 14: Soaps.com is happy to report that Ashley Jones is back taping at the CBS studios and will soon be bringing Bridget Forrester home on Bold and the Beautiful. Stay tuned for her return date.

On September 18 we reported Ashley Jones will return as Bridget for Thorne and Katie’s wedding airing September 25. On September 13, Soaps.com learned that Ashley Jones is once again taping scenes at The Bold and the Beautiful. Jones shared a peek at her script in her Instagram story, and judging by the episode number, her scenes should air near the end of September. On August 2, Soaps.com reported that actress Ashley Jones would be reprising her role of Bold and Beautiful’s Dr. Bridget Forrester, according to a report by Soap Opera Digest. Jones, who was last seen on B&B in February 2016, and who has played General Hospital’s Parker on and off since 2016, explained that Bridget is returning for a special family occasion and will be surprised at some of the faces she sees.

Actress Hunter Tylo let her followers on Twitter know that she would be coming back to The Bold and Beautiful for another stint as Dr. Taylor Hayes. Soaps.com can share that her post stated, “Happy Pre-Thanksgiving ? Make sure to stuff yourself because you’re going to stay glued to your TV for the rest of the entire holiday season if you’re watching #BoldandBeautiful #HunterTylo #Tridge #WayneBrady”

Presumably, this means soap opera fans will be seeing Tylo on screen again some time after Thanksgiving and before Christmas. Tylo last appeared on B&B in August. Watch Soap.com for the actress’ first airdate when it becomes available.

Updated November 10: According to the DOOL App, Arianne Zucker is returning to Days with Paul Telfer as Xander in 2019. Her last return began Tuesday October 9, 2018 until October 22 when she was presumed dead in an explosion.

Arianne Zucker left Days in October 2017, stating, “After 18 years of an incredible run as Nicole Walker on Days of our Lives, I will not be returning this contract year. I have had such beautiful support from all of you who have loved to hate Nicole and then love her again… Although nothing is ever permanent and I never like to say never, it is bye for now.”

Gilles Marini will be taking a temporary leave from Days of our Lives as Salem lawyer, Ted Laurent, but he’ll be returning November 28. The actor’s first foray into the NBC soap begin when he started filming scenes in December 2018 and first aired Tuesday June 5. Fans may recognize Marini from playing Dr. Gohde on The Bold and the Beautiful on and off from 2005 to 2017, as well as Angelo Sorrento on Switched at Birth and Sebastien Dussault on Devious Maids.

Greg Rikaart exits Days as Leo Stark

Soaps.com has learned that Greg Rikaart will be resuming his role as Leo Stark November 28. On May 1, we reported that Rikaart had exited his role on Days of our Lives as Leo Stark and would last be seen when his character was presumed dead on Monday July 2. Rikaart first joined Days on March 27 and turns up every now and again on CBS’ Young and the Restless as Kevin Fisher.
