Sad news.

Academy Award winner Celeste Holm passed away on Sunday July 15 at the age of 95. The actress played “As The World Turns'” Lauren Roberts in 1981 and began her impressive acting career in 1946 as Miriam Harrington in “Three Little Girls In Blue.”

Over the years she’s appeared in such film and Primetime roles as Abigail on “Nancy,” Mabel Jarvis on “Fantasy Island,” Isabella Alden on “Loving,” Estelle Harris on “Archie Bunker’s Place,” Anna Rossini on “Falcon Crest,” Hattie Greene on “Touched By An Angel” and “Promise Land,” and recently finished two projects “Driving Me Crazy” and “College Debts.” In 1948 she won an Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for “Gentleman’s Agreement” as Anne Dettrey.
