Congratulations to Scott Holmes (Tom Hughes), who will be honored by Catawba College later this month! The Blue Masque Hall of Fame at Catawba College will honor Scott and a list of other alumni on October 19, 2008 at the Peeler Crystal Lounge of the Robertson College Community Center.

The Blue Masque Hall of Fame recognizes school alumni for their contributions to theatre; inductees into the Hall of Fame must have been either a student or employee of the school or been an outstanding volunteer for the organization.

In addition to Scott, Cecile Row Bost, Florence Fransioli Busby Corriher, Robert B. Hill, James E. Parker, J. Denise Nuzum Perrino, Burnet M. Hobgood and Hoyt M. McCachren, JR. will be honored.

Scott Holmes graduated from Catawba College in 1974 with a degree in theatre and music. He has appeared in several Broadway productions as well as Broadway touring productions such as “Evita”, “Grease”, “The Robber Bridegroom” and “Shenandoah”. He is best known as Tom Hughes on As The World Turns; in this role he has received Soap Opera Digest Award Nominations for Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor.
