Congratulations to the cast and crew of the CBS reality hit InTurn, which launches an unknown actor into the As The World Turns scene. The show has won a Golden Icon Award!

InTurn won the 2007/2008 Golden Icon for Best Reality Internet Series. That is very cool! Some other award winners in the Internet category include “Break A Leg”, an online comedy series, “Star Trek: Phase II”, and “Afterworld”, an online drama series. For a full listing of this year’s winners, click here.

InTurn follows the lives of budding actors who share a living space as they go on auditions and receive advice from actual ATWT actors, writers and producers. Last year’s winner was Ryan Serhant, who won the role of Evan Walsh IV. Although Evan was a short-lived character, Ryan has not been forgotten by fans. He continues to work in New York and recently shot a pilot which is making the rounds of the television networks. He has also appeared in several plays.

In 2008, Nell Mooney won the grand prize; she will claim her role as Spencer McKay later this fall. Fans, you will remember Nell as one of the fake officials trying to capture Colonel Winston Mayer during Luke and Noah’s frantic hunt for Ameera last summer.

Since 1993, Travolta Family Entertainment has presented the awards to recognize achievements in entertainment, fashion and leisure. The Golden Icons were the first awards to add Internet-based acting and writing accomplishments to their listings. In addition to their serious awards, the Travolta Family also adds a little humor to their awards by awarding things like “Least Bad Actor in an Otherwise Terrible Production”.

Soaps.com congratulates the cast and crew of InTurn! We always knew you were great and we’re pleased that you’ve been recognized for your hard work!
