As The World Turns Wins Two Creative Arts Emmy’s!
Well, despite these older sets not being seen, we did see several really beautiful sets, including Fairwinds. First when Craig took it over and then when Rosanna and Paul managed to oust him from the premises. Now it seems that Paul has made himself comfortable at the mansion so we will probably see a lot more of that home. The second place that has increased in popularity is the hospital. When Chris returned to Oakdale, many more scenes began shooting inside the hospital; now that Alison is in the nursing program, we can add one more character to the mix and we're betting that the hospital will stay in the forefront for many more years!
As for makeup, who could forget the great job the makeup crew did when Paul was pushed from the cliff or during Cleo's meltdown in Branson? They worked for hours on end to make sure our favorite characters looked like they had been put through the wringer - and they did a great job!
Kudos to the crew and don't forget, the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are set for Friday, June 20. Stop in, I'll be blogging about the event and we have several reporters who will be covering the red carpet arrivals to give you the behind-the-scenes scoop!

Congratulations to the crew of As The World Turns, who took home two awards from the 35th Annual Creative Arts & Entertainment Daytime Emmy Awards, presented late last week in New York.
The crew won two awards; the first for Outstanding Achievement in Makeup for a Drama Series and the second for Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction/Set Decoration/Scenic Design for a Drama Series.
Most fans may wonder about the second award because it seems that many old sets have begun disappearing. We have received hundreds of emails and comments asking why so many people are living at the Snyder Farm or The Lakeview when they all have homes. When was the last time we saw Katie’s cottage, Lily’s office or visited Bob’s home?
