Country Music Favorites Featured on ATWT
During the show on May 1, 2008, while Holden and Carly were taking a road trip to tour a camp for the girls two popular songs were featured, one by Gary Allen and one by the group Sugarland.
Sugarland's song "Want To" off their "Enjoy the Ride" album played first. You can buy the song by clicking here. The song was the first release for the album and has helped to propel sales since the release.
The second song during that segment was "Watching Airplanes" by Gary Allen. The song was the first release from his new album "Living Hard". It hit number one on the country music charts in March and has been getting some serious airplay ever since. You can purchase the song here.
Music can definitely change the mood of a show. From serious to fun-loving, the right song will make or break the scene. The two songs played during the May 1, 2008 episode were both fitting. The songs are both about second chances and moving on. Carly is attempting to move on with her life while Holden is attempting a second (okay, maybe a fifth!) chance at love with Lily. With Lily away and no one else to turn to, the once barely-acquaintances have become fast friends. Could this become more than a friendship? We'll have to watch and see!
If you hear a song on the show and need to know what it was, drop us a comment here. We'll find out and get the information back to you as quickly as possible.

Sure, the action is great and the dialogue can be hysterical at times but adding a little music to the mix can take an ordinary scene on our favorite soap to extraordinary. As The World Turns recently took a musical trip during a few segments and we learned which songs were featured on the show! Read on to find out which songs should be added to your MP3 player.
