Horror film.

Jesse McCartney played J.R. Chandler from 1998 – 2001. He went on to become a pop star, but also continued his acting career. This weekend, audiences can see him in the horror flick “Chernobyl Diaries.”

The movie is about six tourists who end up in an abandoned city, which was the former home to workers of the Chernobyl nuclear reactor. As they explore the city with their extreme tour guide, they quickly discover they are not alone. McCartney plays one of the tourists.

McCartney has kept pretty busy since leaving “All My Children” in 2001. Among other things, he starred in “Summerland” from 2004 – 2005, the TV show “Greek” in 2009, has voiced several video games and cartoons including “Young Justice” from 2010 – 2012 and guest starred on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” this year.

“Chernobyl Diaries” opens May 25. It is from the mind of “Paranormal Activity’s” Oren Pell.
