Primetime soap.

Susan Lucci (ex-Erica) may not have made it to “Desperate Housewives” as was rumored for some time, but she will be part of the show’s creator Marc Cherry’s new pilot. Lucci will join “General Hospital’s” Brianna Brown in Devious Maids.

Based on a Mexican soap opera, “Devious Maids” will follow four women working for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. Per Deadline, Lucci will play one of the employers, Genevieve Delacourt. The character is described as a wealthy woman who, after a lifetime of attracting powerful men, is reduced to seducing the pool boy, which has left her “gently crazy.”
