Charles Parnell, who played Derek Frye on “All My Children” from 2005 – 2008, stars in the independent film “Pariah.” The movie is about a 17-year-old girl who quietly embraces her identity as a lesbian. Parnell plays the teen’s father.

“Pariah,” which expands on the original 2007 short of the same name, premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, where Bradford Young was honored with the Excellence in Cinematography Award.
