From JR to multi-talented star.

Jesse McCartney, who played the son of Dixie Cooney (Cady McClain) and Adam Chandler (David Canary) in the late 90s, will once again be on the small screen in 2012. McCartney played J.R. Chandler on “All My Children” from 1998-2001, a role that earned him two Daytime Emmy Award noms as well as two Young Artist Awards.

Since his Daytime stint, McCartney has appeared on “Summerland,” “Hannah Montana,” “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” “Law and Order” and “Greek” as well as lending his voice to the big screen in “Alvin and the Chipmunks” and “Horton Hears a Who.” He also has a thriving singing career.

The “CSI” episode featuring McCartney, “Seeing Red,” will air Feb. 15. He will be seen as a recent college graduate involved in a car crash after losing consciousness.
