Cady McClain ends short stint on All My Children
She isn’t off the screen yet, but Cady McClain has announced on her blog that she has finished taping her scenes for All My Children.
Her impending exit won’t come as a shock to many fans but it is still a huge disappointment.
After the “rebirth” of Jesse in 2007 and with the number of times Dixie has been resurrected in the past, many fans had hoped that this would be another of those storylines. Unfortunately, it appears that Dixie really is only a ghost — at least for now!
Dixie reappeared in Pine Valley at the beginning of May, intent of haunting Adam into revealing the true paternity of Kathy, Julia's ward. Now, most fans know from the Satin Slayer storyline that Kathy is really Kate, Dixie and Tad's daughter, but Tad has never been able to learn the truth. Since returning to haunt Adam, Dixie has been as fun as ever - cackling at Adam, showing up at the most inopportune times and generally making him look crazy. JR even had a doctor take Adam away at one point!

This week, fans will actually see Dixie and Tad reunited! They'll talk about the past and both, it seems, will come to terms with their loss.
"I think [the shows] where Tad and Dixie get to have some really emotional and loving interaction will be rewarding for those of you who remember how it used to be," said Cady on her blog.
