In the spirit of celebrating Pine Valley's history as the end draws near, many former "All My Children" actors are returning to pay their respects. Another big name has just been added to those reprising their roles: Carol Burnett!
Burnett played Verla Grubbs, Langley Wallingford's (Louis Edmonds) long lost daughter, in 1984 and returned for the show's 25th anniversary in 1995 and 35th anniversary in 2005. She will make one last appearance on the departing ABC soap in September in scenes with Susan Lucci (Erica) and Jill Larsen (Opal).
In a statement, Julia Hanan Carruthers (executive producer) said, "It is our honor and pleasure to welcome back Carol Burnett to Pine Valley. Verla Grubbs is a beloved member of the 'All My Children' family and we look forward to reprising her character."
