Blurring the lines.

Susan Lucci (Erica) is reprising her role on “Hot in Cleveland” and is bringing a few of her Pine Valley friends with her. Lucci, along with Michael E. Knight (Tad) and Darnell Williams (Jesse) will appear in a two-part arc that will air on TV Land on February 16 and 23 at 10.00 PM EST. In addition, Wendie Malick, who plays Victoria Chase, a washed up soap star and Susan Lucci’s rival on the sitcom, will guest star on All My Children on February 24.

The All My Children actors will play themselves on “Hot in Cleveland,” while Wendie Malick will play her TV alter ego Victoria, who is cast as Gertie on the ABC soap. It seems Gertie ends up bartending at ConFusion after Erica fires her as a housekeeper.

Of the crossover, President of ABC Daytime, Brian Frons, joked, “We are thrilled that Victoria Chase will join the cast of AMC – there are very few actresses who could pull off a dual role performance as both a maid and a bartender. We hope she is up to the challenge.” He then continued, “There is only room for one Erica Kane in Pine Valley, and Victoria Chase will unfortunately find that out the hard way. This is a unique opportunity to raise awareness of both shows with similar demos, and we expect each other’s viewers to follow from one show to the next.”
