All My Children Interview With Newcomer Rick Pasqualone

Back in Pine Valley.
Rick Pasqualone comes to All My Children in the recurring role of Charles Michaelson. A native New Yorker, Rick is a top voice actor, who has also appeared on Broadway and in Primetime series such as “Desperate Housewives,” “CSI: NY,” “Without a Trace” and “NCIS.” Now, Rick is back on the soap opera that gave him his start.
His publicist sent Soaps.com a fun Q&A so we could learn more about Rick, as well as Charles Michaelson.
Q: Tell us about your character Charles Michaelson.
Rick Pasqualone: Charles is Greenlee’s lawyer. He is a man who is used to winning and doesn’t take no for an answer. That is, until he meets Greenlee!
Q: Were you/are you an AMC fan?
RP: Definitely. Years ago my first “professional” job was doing background work for AMC back in New York. It got me my union card. I’ve been a fan ever since.
Q: Tell us about your first day on the set…What did it feel like?
RP: Very exciting. I had forgotten how fast everything moves on the set. My first scene had a lot of technical lawyer-speak so I really wanted to get it right and set the tone for the rest of the day.
Q: Who are some of the people you’ve met on set? Can you give us a reaction to meeting them?
RP: Everyone was very nice. Most of my stuff was with Rebecca Budig [Greenlee] and Jamie Luner [Liza] who are both fantastic. Jamie is hysterical. Usually there’s not a lot of opportunities to joke around between takes but somehow we found the time. Liza is Charles’ rival but it was really hard for me to hate her.
Q: AMC has transplanted from NYC and you were a Broadway star, how ironic is it that you had to move to Hollywood to get on AMC?
RP: Talk about a long way to go for a gig! As I said, they gave me my first job…I certainly hope it’s not the last.
Q: Besides working on AMC, what else do you have in the works?
RP: Lately I’ve been doing a lot of voice-over work. I play an animated character in the feature film “Hop” with James Marsden, Russell Brand, and my friends Jay Lund and Veronica Alicino. It will be released next spring and is a really funny, family movie. I am also the main character in the video game “Mafia 2” which is a whole different type of family if you know what I mean!
Look for Rick to air as Charles Michaelson on September 30 and October 6.
