Marlene Forte was born in Havana, Cuba, and is the oldest of three girls. She has appeared in many independent films since early 1990's. Her younger sister is television journalist Lesley Ann Machado and her daughter is actress Giselle Rodriguez. She has been married to Playwright and USC tenured professor, Oliver Mayer, since 2006.
