Victor pops the question, Chance gets the boot, and Christine recalls the past.
Katherine opens her front door to Christine. They embrace happily! They sit down for tea and discuss Murphy, and Phillip turning out to be alive. Kay asks if she knows Nina is seeing Paul. Christine nods, saying she saw them and it was fine - she and Paul have a connection, but it's over. Kay says she's not a good liar!
At Paul's house, he and Nina discuss how weird it was to be interrupted by Cricket when they were making love. Paul needs to work on the case for Victor. She is surprised he took it. Paul says he's doing it for Nikki. Nina immediately suggests they go away together. Paul thinks they should stay in town while Cricket's there, but assures Nina he won't change his mind about anything.
Victor waits for an answer to his marriage proposal from Nikki in the Ranch living room. Meggie, who has been watching rushes into the room and comments on the size of the 'rock'! Victor says Nikki was about to give him an answer. Meggie blurts, "Don't let me stop you!" As she keeps talking, Victor mentions privacy. Meggie heads upstairs. Victor asks Nikki to marry him again. He tells her when he nearly died, he had one regret - that they hadn't spent more time together. Nikki wants to marry him for the right reasons and questions the timing of his proposal. She needs more time. Victor nods. She leaves, and he calls Meggie down. He warns her that Nikki and his family are his priorities, even over someone he feels obligated to! Victor asks for the car to be brought around. Meggie wonders if he's kicking her out. He smiles that she will go to Fenmore's to get new clothes. She leaves, and Victor calls someone to meet him at the stables.
Chloe arrives at work and tells Billy about Ryder being wanted by the police while he's staying with Jana. Billy is distracted, and she asks if he's alright. He admits he's upset about Delia living next to Heather, who someone wants to kill! Chloe says Chance will protect them. She feels Billy's concern has nothing to do with Delia - he's just jealous. Billy quips, "What am I jealous of, his nightstick?" Chloe wonders why he can't be happy that she met someone who won't hurt her like he did!
Ronan meets with Sid Meeks in the interrogation room at the station. Ronan tells him he wants Chancellor off the case!
Out in the hallway at their apartment, Chance and Heather debate what to do about Ronan. Heather muses that Ronan could threaten to tell Chloe about hearing them together, and he could lose her. Chance says he might lose her anyway, since he won't keep the secret. They go back into the apartment and stage a conversation about holding a press conference. Chance calls Billy telling him he has a story for him.
Paul meets with Michael at the police station. They compare notes on Victor's case, and Paul is about to tell him Christine's back, but his phone rings. Christine comes around the corner while Michael's back is turned. He hangs up and she smiles! Just then, Ronan and Sid Meeks materialize. Ronan is instantly smitten with Christine, introduces himself, and asks her to look him up. Michael suggests they go into the next room where things are less pervy! Michael and Christine talk about Fen, and he learns that Christine showed up when Paul was with Nina. They share memories of the past. Michael asks why she's back, but Christine is cagey.
Nikki is at the Chancellor Estate filling Kay in on Victor's proposal. Nikki says it's complicated. Katherine wonders if her reluctance has to do with the visitor from Canada. Nikki thinks Victor proposed to reassure her. Kay pooh-poohs the idea, asking what she's really worried about. Nikki can't take losing him again. Kay muses that she would have said no too - she tells her to follow her heart. Nikki leaves and Nina comes in. She and Kay discuss Christine's return. Nina admits she feels like they are young again - she finally gets the good-looking guy to look at her and then the prettiest girl in school walks in. Nina recalls her friendship with Christine, and asks Kay how she brings such clarity to things. She vows not to let the past ruin what she has with Paul or with Christine.
After hanging up from Chance, Billy tells Chloe that he and Heather are coming over to Restless Style and he claims to have a story for him. Ronan comes in and asks if Chance has showed up yet. He warns Billy not to take the meeting with Chancellor, and not to print anything if he does. Billy asks how he knew he had a meeting with Chance. Heather and Chance arrive and Chance says he'd love to know that too. He then arrests Ronan for illegal wire-tapping! Sid walks in and Chance and Heather explain themselves. Ronan says he bugged the apartment for just this reason - he knew Chance couldn't be trusted! Sid removes Chance from the case and puts Malloy in charge. Chance stabs his finger in Ronan's face, saying he won't get away with this! Ronan hisses that he heard a lot of things going on in that apartment, so he'd better play along like a good little boy! Ronan tells Billy not to print a word. Billy angles for an exclusive once the facts come out. Ronan leaves and Billy and Chloe compare notes - she's happy Chance isn't guarding Heather anymore. Across the room, Heather tells Chance she doesn't want Ronan as her bodyguard. He says he doesn't feel good about it either.
Nikki is at the stables when Victor rides in on a white horse. He takes Nikki's hands and tells her he has wealth and a big family, but without her, he has nothing. He offers up the ring again. Nikki says she went there to tell him she can't marry him, but she's willing to take that leap of faith. With a tear on her cheek she accepts, saying she loves him so!
At Fenmore's, Meggie shops up a storm, telling the stunned salesclerk to put it all on Victor Newman's charge account!
