Adam confesses all, Chance admits he was wrong, and the ball comes to an explosive end!
Katherine makes a speech at the ball, followed by Nikki, who says that Emily Abbott had a personal emergency and won't speak. Murphy and Katherine do thank yous. The D.A. whispers to Heather and Rafe that they're suspended as of tomorrow! Billy and Victoria discuss Victor - she doesn't feel like getting into it with her father tonight. Billy gives her a rose and she puts a few petals in her bosom!
In the powder room, Lauren stands up and faces Ryder and Daisy's mother. Lauren asks if she knows her. She says, "No, but I know you." She is about to lift her mask when Phyllis comes in. The woman leaves.
At Crimson Lights, Kevin gets a text message on his phone saying Jana is nearby, and to remember the last time she called him - remember the music!
Back at the ball, Daisy chastises Ryder for texting. They watch Paul and Michael who are discussing Sara Smythe, the woman who posted bail, her connection to Tom, and how to protect Lauren. Jack lets the others know that Adam escaped. Victor says he'll probably run far and fast. Nick wonders if he'll come to Sharon. Kevin appears and fills Paul and Michael in on the text, and describes the music he heard when Jana phoned. Paul says the wooden clown at the old amusement park used to play that tune! Kevin takes off! Michael tells Lauren he's going to get restraining orders on Ryder, Daisy, and Sara. If he's not back soon, Paul will drive her home.
Inside the box, Jana hears Kevin calling her name! She bangs and screams for him! He hears her and searches frantically. He searches exhaustively, but keeps running into bars. He slumps on the ground and cries, "I know you're here but I can't find you! I'm so sorry!" Jana keeps screaming.
Still at the ball, Chloe and Chance slow dance. She muses this will probably be the closest they get to sex. He takes her home to discuss it! Victoria and Billy spin on the dance floor. They decide to go elsewhere, but Billy runs into Heather and Rafe who are angry about the cabin. He says it's their own fault - they let Adam best them! Phyllis urges Nick to go up and check on Sharon in light of Adam being loose. Jack stops to chat with Phyllis, but Patty yanks him away.
Up in Sharon's room, she asks Adam to give her the baby, but he says Faith likes him, and all he's ever tried to do is protect her. He hands Faith over and asks for one more chance to prove himself. Sharon listens. Adam tells her it's all true - he scared Ashley and she lost her baby. He admits to blackmailing Taylor, to switching the babies, and to stealing the ashes she spread! Adam insists that his love for her is true, and reminds her of the note he wrote on the plane. Sharon yells at him. He pleads for her forgiveness, but she says he's dead to her. Nick comes in, and she tells him Adam confessed. Adam jumps out the window and down the fire escape. Nick follows.
Chance and Chloe are back at home. They discuss things, and he says maybe his ideals just don't work in reality. Chloe says, "You're not a kid anymore." He tells her he had it wrong - he hasn't been waiting for marriage to be intimate, he's just been waiting for her. They head upstairs and begin making love in their candlelit bedroom!
Katherine, Jack, Jill, and Murphy marvel over a huge donation. Kay says there is the donor - it's Tucker. They all look over to where he's dancing with Ashley. Jack and Neil note they don't like it. Just then, Sharon screams from the stairwell, "Jack! Victor! Adam's in the building!" As they all confer, Nick runs in and says Adam got away. But he's right there in disguise. Patty sees Adam and they have an angry hushed exchange. Paul sits with Lauren, but notices something is wrong with Heather and goes to talk to her. Lauren spots Daisy and follows her. Sharon receives a call from Adam - he says he's in the basement and she has to come or a lot of people will get hurt!
Murphy and Katherine sit with Tucker. Kay thanks Tucker profusely for his donation, and they discuss Jill's attack on him in the magazine. Murphy insists Kay knew nothing about it. They all shake hands, as Jill and Neil look on. Jill says Kay's a fool to trust him. Phyllis thinks she sees Adam, but is mistaken.
Lauren follows Daisy into a room where she lifts her mask and says hello. Behind Lauren comes Ryder and their mother!
Billy and Vikki are sipping champagne in a room upstairs in the Club. He puts his top hat on her, pulls the rose petals from her bosom, and they kiss, landing on the bed.
Victor and Jack head into the basement to look for Adam. Ashley, Heather, and Patty are also down there. Nick searches with a flashlight and notices a gas leak - he hollers for everyone to get out! They all come upstairs before Nick to usher everyone out. As everyone leaves, Michael comes back in and starts calling out for Lauren. Patty is still inside, as is Ashley, and Phyllis gets her dress caught on the wheelchair. Suddenly, the place explodes into a fireball!
