Will Bardwell and Detective Maggie Sullivan start asking for alibis.
In her office, Victoria ponders Carmen's murder as Brad listens. She was in the prime of her life, Victoria says. Brad feels bad in saying so but he tells Victoria that at least she is no longer an issue to them. She agrees and they both wonder who killed her.
At the mansion, Mr. Kim and Jack meet. When Mr. Kim suggests that what happened to Carmen removes a major threat to them, Jack is astounded! Mr. Kim smirks, asking Jack 'he must have been thinking the same thing, even though he didn't say it aloud'!

At the ranch, Victor and Nikki watch as Sharon mends Noah's pirate costume. He's going to be trick or treating with Victor tonight, much to his delight! They're all impressed with how great he looks and as he goes off to scare Miguel, Sharon finds out that Carmen Mesta was murdered. She runs off to see Dru while Victor and Nikki discuss Jack. He wants to find out what happened to the 250 million that he gave Jack, and promises he'll get her back NVP!

At Crimson Lights, Colleen is upset that she may have to cancel the fundraiser. She's shaky, thinking about Carmen. She's upset that this whole situation has gotten so ugly. She receives a call from Prof. Korbel, asking her to come to the fundraiser now, as people are already starting to arrive. J.T. isn't impressed with the Professor for interrupting them yet again!

Later, Will Bardwell and Detective Sullivan arrive at the Winters to discuss the case with Dru and Neil. They want answers, telling them if they don't get the answers from them, they'll get them elsewhere! They intimidate Neil and Dru a little and are told to leave.

Noah, Nikki and Victor arrive at Newman to see Victoria and Brad. Brad and Victoria adore Noah in his pirate costume, and Noah goes off to show it to Jack. Victoria tells them she'll be having a press conference to discuss Carmen's death.
Sharon goes to Jack's office to pick up Noah. Jack shares how he still feels as though he'll see Carmen wandering around the company with a cell phone in one hand and a Blackberry in the other.

Lily, Devon and Daniel sit at Crimson Lights and are met by J.T. who asks them if they'd like to grab some party supplies later on and have a little Halloween soirée! They hem and haw, but end up going back to J.T's loft. They joke with Devon, calling him Devon the stoic, because he acting so serious right now. They carve pumpkins and then joke with each other about who has the ugliest pumpkin! J.T. thinks he should ask Paul if he can start a pro-bono investigation into Carmen's death. He then calls Colleen asking her when she'll be home. He lures her with pumpkins and a party. She tells them they're wrapping it up now and hangs up.

Professor Korbel comes up behind Colleen, smiling and telling her she shouldn't be on the phone but helping with the fundraiser, unless the person on the phone was Bill Gates of course! Colleen is very glum, and the Professor can't take it anymore, finally asking her what gives. She explains she's upset about the murder of Carmen Mesta. He read about it in the paper, he shares. While she talks, Professor Korbel has his back turned to her. He has a strange… almost guilty look on his face as she speaks. She's worried about Lily and her family. Professor Korbel tells her she has been a good friend to Lily… and he thanks her for coming clean with him about why she has been upset all day. Unexpectedly, Colleen leans in and kisses him!
Back at Newman, Nikki and Jack have a meeting to discuss Sharon's next appearances. She tells him Victor is talking of the two of them taking a little trip. He gives her the 'details' of where he has been spending his 250 million, so she doesn't accuse him of spending it on carousing and women!
At Crimson Lights, Michael gets a call from Neil. He is told that they had house call from.. And Michael cuts in. "Let me guess, the DA and Nancy Drew?"… Michael asks Neil to meet with him alone, at the coffee house to discuss his relationship with Carmen.

At Newman, Brad and Victoria receive the DA and Det. Sullivan. They give their alibis and convey that they both saw her last during the day, in a meeting, but they both think back to Carmen's extortion attempt. The two asks to review the security tapes from the last time Carmen was there.
After the two leave, Victoria is worried. She is upset with Brad for lying to the police about the last time he saw Carmen. He tells her that if he would have told the truth that he saw Carmen after work at her apartment, he'd be in a lot of hot water. She still can't help but think they've now created more problems for themselves.

Victor wanders into Jack's office wearing a mask. Jack is off balance, taken by surprise. Victor laughs, telling Jack that he didn't realise he was so easily spooked! Jack is pretty stressed, explaining to Victor how he is in shock over what happened with Carmen's murder. He wonders if Carmen would have lived her life any differently knowing it was almost over.

Sharon meets with the DA and the Detective in the coffee break room at Newman. She admits to seeing Carmen at work before the end of the night. She tells the duo that she felt bad for Dru and admits to trying to talk Carmen out of the court case. Will has done his homework, asking her if it's true that her husband left her for another woman. She admits that is true but finds this form of questioning both distasteful and of no concern to the case. Will only asks to find out more about her relationship with Dru, thinking the two women shared common problems. Detective Sullivan asks Sharon if she always sticks up for Drucilla Winters, but Sharon catches on, telling her she is her friend.
Neil arrives at Crimson Lights to see Michael. He characterizes his relationship with Carmen, and then shares that he really isn't sure what Carmen wanted from the relationship because things didn't get that far. After he'd kissed her, he goes on to tell Michael that he was made to realize what he was doing to his family and stopped things in their tracks. The two men are disrupted by Detective Sullivan and Bardwell show up at Crimson Lights, telling Michael he will not rest until Carmen Mesta receives the justice she deserves.
After the two leave, Michael speaks with someone on the phone, who finds out that the Coroner gave the time of death a whole day before her body was found. Michael thinks it asks a whole new set of questions.

At the loft, Devon is remembering when he was at Carmen's house before she was murdered. He flashes to pounding on the door. The guys wonder where Colleen is, and J.T. openly wonders if that 'S.O.B' Korbel is keeping her. He signs this to Devon, who laughs. Daniel is surprised that while J.T., who can't sign much, signs 'SOB' really well, and they joke, "Have you been practicing?!"
Detective Sullivan and Will show up at Jack's office. They question him about all of the phone calls that he made to Carmen. He tells them that the wire transfer phone call was about business. Will tells him that Jack sounded almost desperate to see her.
Neil comes home to an upset Dru. She's bothered by all of the questions that they've been faced with as is Neil. They've been through a lot and she tells him she will do whatever it takes, even lying for him, if needed. He's puzzled when she goes on to ask if he knows more about the murder than he's saying! He tells her he was about to ask the same thing of her!
Next on The Young and The Restless:

Colleen comes home to a concerned J.T. He wonders what's wrong but she professes she's just tired.
